This gated, oceanfront 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is an ideal place to go for a cozy, cold-weather holiday on beautiful Vancouver Island.

Located in the picturesque Comox Valley, this vacation rental offers guests comfortable living spaces, incredible ocean views and beach access for unbeatable storm watching and an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

As you drive through the gates of Kye Bay Beach House, you will be welcomed by the cheerful cottage and ocean beyond. Park in the covered driveway right at the front entrance that provides shelter for you to comfortably unload your luggage in inclement weather.

As you step into the home, you will be immediately greeted by the cozy modern, cottage-style kitchen. With white shaker cabinetry, modern, free standing hood vent, built in-island range, and top of the line wine fridge and dedicated bar sink, this fully stocked, refurbished kitchen is both impressive and comfortable. No matter what your culinary needs are, whether you are making cocoa, muddling a winter cocktail, or whipping up your favourite seasonal comfort food, this kitchen is the perfect size.

Beyond the kitchen, you will find a large, comfortable living room and dining area under the soaring, shed-style ceiling that creates openness and allows for light to fill the room, even on the darkest winter days. In the living room, guests will find a comfortable six seat sectional, plush armchairs, and a large flat screen TV. Curl up in an armchair and enjoy a good book while the rain patters on the window or recline on the sofa and binge your favourite series or watch the storms roll in over the waves.

The adjacent dining area seats up to six people around the solid, farmhouse-style oak table. Here you can enjoy cozy meals together and it makes a wonderful spot to enjoy a cocktail and a board game on those long winter nights.

Through the sliding glass doors in the dining area, you can access the conservatory, an elegant way to enjoy indoor/outdoor living in any weather. This is a great spot to sip your morning coffee under a blanket and watch the sun rise over the water.

On the main floor, guests will also find one of the three bedrooms outfitted with a comfortable queen bed and plenty of storage space to organize your luggage.

The main floor is completed by a three-piece bathroom off the kitchen that includes a walk-in shower and large vanity as well as a laundry room with full sized side-by-side washer and dryer units.

On the second floor, guests will find two bedrooms and a full bathroom off the open, second story landing. Both bedrooms are furnished with queen sized beds and warm wood furniture with plenty of space for your things but one of the bedrooms has an additional private, west-facing balcony and is the perfect place to catch a glimpse of one of Comox's famous winter sunsets.

The bathroom on the second floor is a tasteful and immaculately renovated three-piece suite with large, walk-in shower stall, incredible lighting, small window for circulation and wide vanity to ensure that guests who are sharing this space have ample room for their toiletries.

Located just steps away from one of the most beloved, local sandy beaches, this cottage is the perfect location for winter seaside family holidays or group getaways. At low tide, bundle up to explore the expansive shoreline, try to catch a glimpse of the local marine wildlife and groups with children will love having a colourful playground near the beach for dry days.

Kye Bay Beach House is in an ideal location to explore so much of what the Central-North Island has to offer. During ski season, the alpine resort of Mt. Washington is an easy 45 minutes away to the west where you can find incredible downhill skiing and snowboarding as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding!

Explore some of the natural wonders of the Island and have once-in-a-lifetime experiences by booking a ecotour or fishing charter during off-peak season in Campbell River, 40 minutes north of Kye Bay.

Comox, Courtenay, and neighbouring Cumberland all have incredible town centres where you can easily spend a wintery afternoon exploring stunning farm-to-table dining, incredible craft beer and locally owned boutiques. For everyday groceries and amenities, the local Crown Isle Plaza on Ryan Rd. is where you will find the popular local market, Thrifty Foods, liquor store, pizza, Starbucks, and hardware store.

The Kye Bay Beach House is easy to access and close to many travel access points. The Comox Valley Airport YQQ offers flights from two major Canadian carriers and is only five minutes away from the property.

If you are arriving from Vancouver by ferry, the Nanaimo ferry terminal is an easy hour drive on Highway 19, Swartz Bay ferry terminal is three and a half hours away and the capital city of Victoria is a three-hour drive away from the cottage.
